This is a Holy Monastery of our Lord Jesus Christ; that is, a place of repentance and redemption for those leading a monastic life and for pious pilgrims. If you wish to enter the Holy grounds, you should be dressed appropriately.

Women are asked to enter dressed modestly, wearing skirts well below the knees, long-sleeved shirts, and are to have their heads covered with a veil or scarf - a hat does not substitute for a scarf. (No pants, shorts, mini-skirts, tight skirts, sleeveless blouses, etc.) Men are to wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts. Everyone is asked to wear socks. Smoking is strictly forbidden and children must remain under parental supervision at all times.

We trust in your good intent that you will adhere to the rules set above within the precincts of the spiritual garden of the Holy Archangels.

Monastery gate is locked at night. If planning to arrive while dark, please call the day before to make arrangements.

There are wild animals roaming the grounds. Please keep your children close to you at all times and exercise caution.

From San Antonio

• Go north on 281 until 473 (Look for sign to Kendalia, 26 1/4 miles north of Loop 1604)
• Turn left onto 473, follow directions at bottom

From Austin

• Go west on 290 until 281
• Go south on 281 until 473 (Look for sign to Kendalia, 16 1/2 miles south of 290)
• Turn right onto 473, follow directions at bottom of page

From Houston

• Go west on 10 until 46 (Exit 607 near downtown Seguin)
• Go west on 46 until 281
• Go north on 281 until 473 (Look for sign to Kendalia, 12 1/2 miles north of 46)
• Turn left onto 473, follow directions at bottom of page.

Go west for 1 1/4 miles west of 281.
Turn right on Twin Sisters Dr. (Look for wooden signs at corner).
Go 2 1/4 miles on narrow paved road. Road ends at Monastery gate
Please drive slowly and carefully on Twin Sisters Drive.
